These needles are great! After breaking two of my plastics, I needed a replacement. I use them all the time to sew knitwear together and since they are steel I don't have to worry about them breaking. The only problem with them I was able to do with the plastics is that after sewing the details I like to hide the tail in the work and the plastic's plunger allowed me to slide the tail in. When I got the steel I found I couldn't do it because the end is pointed instead of smooth/round. So I left the plastic just for this purpose. Otherwise it's great!
