Review on Dorman Black 49315 Transfer Case Switch - Optimize Your Search! by Jose Miller

Ordered because my front diff would snap incorrectly at times. Removed the old switch and found the ball was stuck. Surprisingly found a simple fix. A few weeks later I pop the hood and find that all of my vacuum hoses are swollen. I took one off and found it was covered in oil. The switch leaked through the diaphragm and the vacuum sucked gear oil out of the transfer case. I'm sure some people have had better luck making the switch, but not in my case. I will order another brand. I'm a mechanical engineer with 12 years experience in the field and I can tell you from experience that Dorman is doing fine. I haven't seen them made in America, and Chinese factories control quality very carefully.
