Review on ASTM-Certified All-Terrain Dirt Kick Scooter with 8-INCH KNOBBY Tires - Swagtron KR1 by Patrick Reid

Thicker than a bowl of oatmeal

I am a 250 pound male. So it was difficult to find a scooter that could handle all of my manhood. Almost every scooter I've seen has a 220-pound load capacity. As I rode my daughter's scooter, I could feel the deck flexing under my weight. I knew I needed something more reliable. I found the Swagtron KR1 which has 264 lbs of power. I was pleasantly surprised when I received it, I was expecting better build quality but that's on another level. This scooter will probably roll when I'm in the grave. Craftsmanship is top notch. The aluminum looks like 1/4 inch and the inflatable rubber wheels add some weight. It requires more power compared to my daughter's scooter. They happily passed me when I tried to ride with them. No possibility of folding. I bent a front wheel slightly so the scooter wobbles and wobbles while riding (planning to contact support, results will be updated) Minus for me The rear brake on mine has shifted and loosened I will probably end up replacing the rear wheel remove and tighten the brake The only downside, and it's a terrible downside, is on the back of the deck, not the tapered square shape. If you've ever ridden a scooter you know the deck loves to rock and hit me on my shins, calves and ankles. This deck hit me on the meaty right side of the shin and its superb ability broke her skin. My daughters are not used to seeing me cry in public, but I screamed like a baby and immediately fell to the ground. I confused her, but this pain is unlike anything I've felt in a long time. I decided to send it back but on the way home I fell in love again. I plan to buy a file to round off the trailing edge to bruise more easily instead of losing my daughters respect. I hope your experience is better than mine. In general, I plan to keep.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
