Weak plastic wheels broke after 4 rides

The scooter is quite heavy and requires a lot of strength to drive compared to a regular Razor scooter. The wheels were completely unbalanced (there is no way to balance them) and it was very unsafe to go downhill at some speed - the whole scooter was shaking. After 4 rides the plastic wheels (discs) broke. Now it's not economically feasible to swap out the wheels (again, not to plastic wheels!) and this heavy-duty frame is going in my trash.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • boring packaging

Broken rims and tubes

Absolute rubbish! Bought 2 for Christmas, tires went flat after 2 months. I assumed it was a spike. So I bought new tubes. When I disassembled it, it turned out that not only were the wheels defective and broken, but the pipes were also rotten and cracked. 2 months later someone else had the same problem. Rims and tires are defective on both! The frame is very well made, but they need to clean up on quality control! Spend extra money and save yourself a headache!

Pros
  • That's amazing
Cons
  • Expensive

Works great, very close to Osprey.

My husband and I drive them in our car service. We go back and forth too much. We first bought an Osprey and it worked great. I wanted to take the second one and the price shot up. So we waited and it never fell, then I found this one and it looked the same. This is casting. There are only cheaper wheels. Everything else is the same. I added drink holders for our coffee mugs. It works great and I can only recommend it!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

Disappointed - don't waste your money

Tire deflated after 6 months use. Whoever put the tubes in the tires clamped plastic on them and they eventually broke. Trying to find replacement parts or a camera for a scooter this size was a nightmare. My kids say they hate driving them and they are not easy to use. UPDATE: I just installed new cameras and my kids rode it one day. New tubes burst. The plastic plates again pinched the pipes and ripped them apart. I have changed my rating to 1 star. What a waste of money.

Worst shopping experience I have ever had

Do not buy this scooter, I tried it, my son is 9 years old and he has only used it 10 hours in 5 months, no pumping, the tire tread has less than 3% wear and the wheels are made by plastic and air leaks. Apparently, these are two-piece wheels that are supposed to keep the air in the tires. I reported this to Swagtron and they told me I was having no luck with the 59.00 plus shipping guarantee to see. Don't repeat my mistake. I am sincerely trying to warn you against buying a bad product and…

inflatable rubber wheels

We have a lot of bumps and cracks in the pavement here. It is not safe to ride a small wheel scooter on uneven sidewalks or paved paths as you can easily trip and fall. These 8 inch rubber wheels really offer more stability and absorb more shock than polyurethane wheels. I believe that's why it didn't come with a suspension. I no longer have to get off the scooter and walk over bumps. Another advantage of this scooter is the low deck height. The low platform height means a low center of…

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

Hi all, have never written a review before. But after my experience with this company I had to say something. So I bought this shooter for my 60 lb son for Christmas and two weeks later the rear rim snapped and the tube broke. Even a week after parking in the garage, the front wheel was flat. So I turned to Swatton for help and found nothing. I was told I could send it back for repair and pay 59.99 for the repair. They also said I could buy new rims front and rear but would have to pay full…

Thicker than a bowl of oatmeal

I am a 250 pound male. So it was difficult to find a scooter that could handle all of my manhood. Almost every scooter I've seen has a 220-pound load capacity. As I rode my daughter's scooter, I could feel the deck flexing under my weight. I knew I needed something more reliable. I found the Swagtron KR1 which has 264 lbs of power. I was pleasantly surprised when I received it, I was expecting better build quality but that's on another level. This scooter will probably roll when I'm in the…
