Flaming River steering shaft (18" stainless steel) arrived well packaged although it would be difficult to damage. Thanks for the good packaging. I was concerned about one manufacturer's compatibility with another. One would Assume sizes are universal, but we all know how that can go wrong. This Flaming River 3/4" DD Shaft fits my Borgeson steering/vibration damper joint perfectly without excessive play before the set screws on the shaft to be tightened. part of the Borgeson. I also ran a Flaming River DD shaft as a test. Some of GM's OEM splined shaft components were designed to accept a 3/4" DD shaft and the fit was not too tight or loose. Ideal for the wedge connection. Expensive, but I wanted to minimize corrosion between my existing stainless steel components, particularly in areas where moisture can collect and linger. As this is a product that is not typically bought often, it was worth the extra price for stainless steel. This product has worked well for me.
