Bright red in my photo above, scarlet below. The scarlet yarn image in the listing is very different in color, at least on my devices. I ordered anyway. Both Patons Scarlet and Bright Red are beautiful shades of red. Scarlet is slightly orange in color, slightly reminiscent of a tomato. For those complaining about the texture, feel, or felt, you know what you're buying: traditional 100% lambswool. It has not been treated to be machine washed/dried. If you want machine washable wool, look for Superwash. But beware of the traditional wool, and it will keep you warm (even if it gets wet) as people have been doing since 10,000 BC. do.
