Review on GearWrench 447 Replacement Interchangeable Internal by Kyle Mack

I needed snap ring pliers for a step to replace some of the gears on a Kitchenaid stand mixer. I knew I wouldn't use them that often, so I went with the cheaper ones. Guilty. It's terrible. The replacement tips will NOT slide and stay straight, making the locking rings almost impossible to remove. I tightened the screws where the tips go into the pliers (by pulling them off) just to hold the tips in place long enough to get the job done. Once in place, a spike quickly broke mid-work. What should have taken less than a minute took almost 5-10 because of them. Return these.
