The bit is a great woodworking tool that when used with a router table can do a lot of woodworking tasks when I use that right bits and they're sharp as they are. When working with wood, I need properly sharpened, high-speed bits with Tungsten Carbide (TC) blades to keep them sharp when cutting wood, chipboard, or MDF. This bit set contains 2 bits with 1/2" shanks. They have sharp 3-blade TC edgers specifically for 1/4" tongue and groove routing. Check out the top and bottom guide bearings, which allow you to make precise guide cuts at high RPM without damaging the wood. Bearings can be removed. A plastic tube holds the knives securely but does not prevent damage from the impact of the knives as they are packaged in a tube.
