Switch failed after only two days, float stuck in up position
Float lever stuck in up position. There was no debris or anything preventing it from falling when the water level dropped. As a result, he worked for several hours with the float raised, but without pumping water. It was used as a switch replacement in the marine shower drain box, so there is only clean water there. If it was in the hold of a boat, it would likely result in thousands of dollars in fines for dumping spilled oil on the bilge water. As if it "only" destroyed the pump.
