Bought this for my car. While I was working on the engine, the hood kept closing and I had to hold the hood with one hand and then work with the other hand. I finally found the broomstick, but one day it slipped and nearly knocked me out. As a result, I bought two of these supports for lifting the hood on the car. Although the hood is very heavy, I only fitted one of the hood lift struts to the hood and found that sufficient. I decided that I will put another one later. it was a month ago. This thing works like a champ! High quality and easy installation. It was worth every penny!
