I only have WiFi devices that connect directly to my home network without a hub. This device meets these requirements. I have 2 of these. One in my house and one in a separate garage to control the room temperature. Both are set to send a low temp alarm so I know if the heating system has failed. These devices report Wi-Fi signal strength; useful information for a device in a detached garage with minimal WiFi. The battery voltage report is a nice feature. The attachment for the device is not very good. I attached a piece of tape to attach the body to the bracket and then used double sided tape to attach it to the wall. The body mount is broken. I need a different approach when changing the battery unless I rip the mount off the wall and replace the double sided tape.
