Review on 🔆 Dewaxed Super Blonde Shellac Flakes - 1lb (16oz) by Jose Perry

*UPDATE April 2021* I don't know if this is due to the disruption to supply chains caused by Covid but I have had to adjust the star rating for this shellac from full stars to one. Because of one bad batch, all my work was completely ruined and I had to start all over again. In fact, I lost my job for the whole season because I was way behind. In my innocence, I wrote off the bad batch as an accident, ordered more, and suffered a little more. The new batch was ruined too. Problems always showed up at the very end, during the final polishing with alcohol. Everything was perfect up to this point, then the SMALL application of alcohol caused an immediate and distinct cracking sound. No, the polish wasn't applied too thick; I've been in this game for more than twenty years. I've never encountered anything like this. Even when I tried a final polish with a polishing paste, after a month of exposure, the result was the same: cracks. Massive cracks. It's up to you, of course, but using that shellac has brought me to the brink of ruin. * I am a professional restorer of antique French antiques and my reputation is in direct proportion to my skills and the quality of the materials. Button shellac has its justification, but French antiques in particular should not be without super blonde. Super blond allows you to truly appreciate and showcase both the quality of the wood used in cabinet furniture and the skill of the carpenter. By the way, I only use Old World in all my work because I can easily stack quickly and it gives excellent results.
