I immediately started using these on 1/8" 6061 aluminum. I set up my drill press, placed the 1/8" bit in the drill chuck, and placed the aluminum plate in a vise. I started drilling at 350 RPM and couldn't even get .060" deep and the tip broke, remember I hardly applied any pressure. the hole (I cleaned up all the broken bits) and that broke too. I wasn't happy at this point, I grabbed a cheap American Vermont bit and drilled the rest of the hole (with the broken bits still in it) and 10 more with no problems do it right so they don't get so brittle.
