Description of 🔧 Enhance Your Drilling Experience with Drill America Piece Speed Finish

High-speed steel tools are good for most general purpose applications, offering a combination of hardness and toughness for wear resistance. Black oxide treatment adds lubricity and creates small pockets on the surface of the tool that act to hold coolant near the cutting edge. Round shanks allow use with a wide variety of toolholding systems. When run in a counterclockwise direction (right-hand cut) spiral fluted tools evacuate chips up and out of the cut to reduce clogging. 26 piece drill bit set comes in a metal case.

. Overall it's decent for the price, which is quite cheap. Hey, a good set of 60 gauge drill bits is about $100. So if you want a great set for precision work, shell out another $70. However, I use the smaller #50-#60 mainly for drilling in wood. I don't try to drill into metals and don't expect them to be good at it. For what I needed to do, they are just perfect. If I needed a kit for more precise work on metal etc I would put C on the best kit. You can't spend $33 and expect a $120 set…

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Obsolete Model

I immediately started using these on 1/8" 6061 aluminum. I set up my drill press, placed the 1/8" bit in the drill chuck, and placed the aluminum plate in a vise. I started drilling at 350 RPM and couldn't even get .060" deep and the tip broke, remember I hardly applied any pressure. the hole (I cleaned up all the broken bits) and that broke too. I wasn't happy at this point, I grabbed a cheap American Vermont bit and drilled the rest of the hole (with the broken bits still in it) and 10 more…

Pros
  • change price

Looks like good drills. They are marked on the shank with HSS and fraction sizes. Good drill index Huot (made in USA). The country of manufacture is not indicated anywhere on the bits. I wrote to customer service that Qual-Tech bits are "high quality imports from China". For the price I knew they weren't made in the USA. seems like a good sentence. I have a set of Matco and Chicago Latrobe bits and used them in a general purpose hand drill to keep my good bits from dulling, breaking or losing…
