You definitely need to look elsewhere for a luggage rack for your e-bike! My husband and I purchased two bikes from the Electric Bike Company, both of which do not exceed the maximum weight limit for this carrier. On the EBC website they offer a rack that looks exactly the same (HOLLYWOOD BIKE RACK) but is more expensive. I wish I could follow their recommendation! Now I wouldn't have a badly damaged bike. When we first used the Leader binding, the arm holding the bike out loosened and moved up very quickly, leaving nothing to hold the bike frame to the binding. Luckily, the straps held the wheels so the bike didn't fall all the way onto the freeway. However, the bike sustained significant damage when we had to pull over onto the edge of the freeway and it was dragged across the ground. I didn't feel like holding the bikes down was enough. After making sure everything was snug and secure, I told him there was no need as this carrier had such good reviews. Bad choose! Note: There were 3 of us before we left to make sure everything was safe and secure! This is NOT a USER ERROR! Spend the extra money on a better bike rack. Especially if you have a bike that you don't need to damage/drop. On the other hand, one of the straps waited until we pulled onto the side of the freeway to break! I can't imagine what would happen if the bike fell completely onto the highway! Zero customer service! Addressed to the leader. Never heard a word from them!
