With some heavy e-MTBs, my first concern is weight capacity. The first thing I did after assembling this rack was stand on it. Actually, I put my weight (160 pounds) on one of the bars. Not only did the rack not fail, but one rod did not fail, and this is half the total load capacity. You definitely need to look elsewhere for a luggage rack for your e-bike! My husband and I purchased two bikes from the Electric Bike Company, both of which do not exceed the maximum weight limit for this carrier.
