Review on VCT Dowel Jig Kit: 🔩 Ultimate Precision for Wood Doweling Hole Drilling by Sean Young

I really enjoyed using this dowel jig, but when I started drilling my first holes it became quite obvious that it wasn't staying centered on the panel. I checked the clamp and made sure everything was tight. No matter what I do, the guide block does not stay flush with the material. After drilling holes for 12 dowels (24 holes), the rear hold down block has almost 1/4" side play on the drive shafts (outer rails). Double check that everything along the screw mandrel is still tight. Either it was poorly made or it's not really a quality product.I don't recommend buying this product if you're trying to make quality pieces.Luckily I did a cheap pine project and only lost $15 on materials plus $35 on paperweight I just bought.
