Review on 12-Pack OZMI Plant Self-Watering Spikes With Slow Release Control Valve - Automatic Irrigation Equipment For Home And Vacation Plant Watering, Adjustable Drip System For Optimal Water Volume by Oliver Phelps

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Waste of money.: my feedback

There are literally worthless instructions that come with these spikes. The valve fits and clicks in as it should but there is no way to thread a bottle into the spikes so that they remain stationary. So as far as I can tell the bottle just sits on top of the device and you hope that it doesn’t fall over. Because there is no seal, the water basically pours out almost immediately even if you close the device valve. Maybe I’m just too stupid to figure it out but…

Pros
  • Provides a cost-effective solution for watering plants
Cons
  • Can be less effective during long periods of drought or dry conditions

I tried different types of bottles- 2L soda bottle; it worked but it was too heavy, I plan to use the bigger bottles outside in the garden.- Wine bottle, not all wine bottles fit the dripper but those that fit were also too heavy for the dripper especially when the plant is a small house plant. It might work outside in the garden too.- Disposable water bottle worked ok but it was too flimsy. Other types of disposable soda bottles will work better so that it is easier to insert the dripper with out crushing the bottle and spilling water all over your floor. It works with patience and some tricking.
