Good idea but I think this model was made too versatile. This model is suitable for many trucks and in my case it could be a problem. On my 2011 Dakota, the bolts were aligned where multiple intersecting holes were drilled, so it was possible for riding vibration to cause the bolts to slide from one hole to the other and jam the lock in the locked position. Since my lid opens from the inside, this was a problem. The wiring guide was completely wrong in my case. Laying the necessary cables took longer than the rest of the installation. Need a wire color chart for each car that fits. I bought the manual version, installed it in 15 minutes and it still works great, I've only had it a week.
