If I could I would give this one a 3.5 - it's a good item but for some reason the very last ring is difficult to press unless it has something heavy in it huh is a bit annoying (but actually not that much). Another issue is the small rubber rings that fit into the side handles that you hold on to (which should help avoid burning yourself picking up the colander), which slide out very easily. Well, a couple of times the silicone ring wasn't seated properly in the hole and I didn't notice, so I picked up the colander by the bare metal, with hot food in it, and it's no fun. It didn't leave a lasting mark but gave me a nice little burn for a few minutes. But now that I know this happens I've become more careful to make sure the rings are in exactly the right place. Overall though, I'd still thoroughly recommend this item: for the price and what you do with it, it's a great space saver and feels more durable than I expected. Overall good buy.
