Metal handles get hot easily, be careful when handling with bare hands. Corrugated rings open unevenly, especially the latter. However, the good capacity could be improved, especially considering the price. Thought about a return.

It says 4 liters but it's very little. About the same size as a 2 1/2 liter mixing bowl. It also folds up really easily if you overtighten it and the contents will fall somewhere. Too expensive and too late to return. My search continues :(

This colander is great for those who, like me, don't have a lot of storage space in the kitchen. It keeps its shape well, sometimes it's difficult to open it quickly, but I believe this indicates its quality. It's easy to clean. I haven't found any products that fall through holes yet. My only minor complaint is that I have a hard time watering and holding at the same time, but I usually ask my husband to hold while I water.

Purchased in December 2015. Used as the main sieve without any complaints, many trips to the dishwasher etc. May 2018, a tear has formed on one of the fold seams. The original seller was contacted via email/Amazon and immediately replied that they would be happy to send a replacement; no freight or fee for me. He arrived in a few days. Very cool! We are happy that the same product and seller showed up about 2.5 years later.

Love, love, love. I've used it a lot since I bought it, for everything from draining pasta to washing fruit etc. It folds up easily so it takes up very little space in my cupboards. The metal rim at the top and bottom seems to make it more durable than some similar collapsible colanders. The silicone is heat resistant so I can put it back in the pot after pouring the noodles in. It has mini legs at the bottom so I can put it in the sink if I want to. One of the most useful things in my kitchen.

I have used this colander for several meals and I definitely like it. It's cool that it has 2 "layers" to fold. So if I'm just washing berries or something, I just have to push it to the first level of depth; pull out completely for noodles. If you live in an apartment in New York, you also appreciate saving space. I did NOT receive this product for free or at a discount for an honest review (how do people even do that?!) so my opinion was not stimulated.

This is a really good alternative to a large colander if you're short on space. We use it on our boat and it has a shelf life when half open (about 4-5 cups) or fully extended (about 8-9 cups). The rim and the bottom are made of stainless steel and are of good quality. The small grips even have a silicone insert to keep you cool. It folds down to exactly one inch deep. EDIT: As you can see from my original review below, I liked this strainer and it has worked well for me for a while. But when I opened it today, the bottom came out! I thought it might pop out and be reinserted but upon inspection the metal base was still attached to the silicone ring which had completely detached from the rest of the strainer. If I could I would give this one a 3.5 - it's a good item but for some reason the very last ring is difficult to press unless it has something heavy in it huh is a bit annoying (but actually not that much).
