EDIT: As you can see from my original review below, I liked this strainer and it has worked well for me for a while. But when I opened it today, the bottom came out! I thought it might pop out and be reinserted but upon inspection the metal base was still attached to the silicone ring which had completely detached from the rest of the strainer. I've used it about 20 times in 2 years so I'm very dissatisfied with its durability. I'm also worried about what I gave! Original Review: I've wanted a collapsible colander for a long time but wouldn't pay what it costs. I found this price very reasonable and the product has worked great every time. I was concerned that using silicone to strain hamburger meat would pose a cleaning issue, but it came out of the dishwasher like new.
