Makita naturally leaves more solid impressions than riobi. But any technique, for a different nature and scope of work is done. Got pros: Sturdy construction. When the battery riobi does not fit, I take the Makita. I bought it in a chain store on E. I liked the cord, not hard. The cutting height is good. I have never stuck in the workpiece. The power is decent. Got cons: The engine is not in the usual position. But you quickly get used to it. Some may find it a little heavy. I'm ok.
