We tested this product and the black plastic pieces that adjust the gap fell off. This product does not give any indication of its origin, but given its quality, it is very likely that it is a Chinese product, but it worked well. Americans don't want Chinese products anymore, they are of poor quality and have a bad reputation. We do not recommend buying goods from China.
