The compressor has not worked for 5 months. Was noisy - like a train - BUT it leaked air.

Update: Compressor died after about 4-5 months. I'm replacing it with a VIAIR 450C (check their reviews). Air leaked from the tank - some garbage. Vixen wanted me to pay for their garbage to be shipped to them. I even offered to swap out the little metal clasp to save us both money. But they said they had no parts! So I'm doing what I had to do - from now on I will be involved in everything Viair related. I've attached pictures of the Vixen alongside my new Viair. See how much less and worse the Vixen cools? I received Viair 450C. I recommend NOT BUYING Vixen. β€” β€” β€” previous rating β€” β€” 5 months ago when first purchased below β€” β€” LOUD β€” like a train β€” BUT lets air through. I checked and reinstalled all the fittings on the tank. All tank fittings seem to be tight. The only thing still leaking is the horn drive, safely hidden behind my front bumper (F350). If you don't mind bleeding the tank on every ride, then you'll probably be happy. ALSO - I had to buy more hose. The hose that came with it doesn't go from my truck's body to the front bumper. There was no room for a 3 gallon tank under my 2015 F350. I would also recommend a smaller tank. OR spend about $100 more than $$$ and get a better setup (Viair). You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Almost OK
