Well for 3 days it was a VERY loud beep. Stops working after 3 days. I went to the local dealership where I had it installed and they said they checked the compressor and it no longer works on 12 volts and a good ground. Previously I had to pay for beeps, installation and diagnostics. So for me very expensive train horns that broke after 3 days.

I never leave bad reviews, but I have to. I professionally installed the machine about 3 months ago. The compressor no longer works! I have it on the sub switch in the f-250 and have run the supercharger maybe 15 times total. I've rarely used it and it's totally waterproof as I also had a professional duvet installed to protect the train horn from the rain and weather. I hear a switch click and checked the fuses, they are ok, but the compressor no longer works.

Cool thing if you like making your own hands. I can't speak for other well known brands. But I can say I'm glad I saved money here. Removed my spare and put everything where the truck's spare was. The compressors are visible on the outside of the truck, but inside, when the truck is running and the radio is on, you can't even hear it. I suggest wiring the compressor to a switch as well so it doesn't fill up the tank when not needed. We hope that limiting the operation of the compressor will…

Update: Compressor died after about 4-5 months. I'm replacing it with a VIAIR 450C (check their reviews). Air leaked from the tank - some garbage. Vixen wanted me to pay for their garbage to be shipped to them. I even offered to swap out the little metal clasp to save us both money. But they said they had no parts! So I'm doing what I had to do - from now on I will be involved in everything Viair related. I've attached pictures of the Vixen alongside my new Viair. See how much less and worse…

The short braided hose from the compressor limits the mounting options. No female connectors for horn wires. Such short horn wires could not even be grounded to the mounting screw.
