Cool thing if you like making your own hands. I can't speak for other well known brands. But I can say I'm glad I saved money here. Removed my spare and put everything where the truck's spare was. The compressors are visible on the outside of the truck, but inside, when the truck is running and the radio is on, you can't even hear it. I suggest wiring the compressor to a switch as well so it doesn't fill up the tank when not needed. We hope that limiting the operation of the compressor will increase its lifespan. You get hot. But a small, oil-lubricated, 250psi compressor is a challenge. The horn is so loud. To be honest this is a toy for me. It might be useful in traffic, but at the end of the day it's just plain fun scaring people going to Walmart. 👌
