Review on 🐠 AquaClear 70 Foam Filter Inserts – Premium Aquarium Filter Replacement Media, 3-Pack, Model A1396 by Jennifer Mulder

I'm a fan of the Aquaclear suspension filter; very easy to use and maintain, as well as flexible in media handling. I placed two of these foam liners and two bags of BioMax pellets in my 55 gallon 70 liter tank of Mbuna cichlids (I recently added a second bag of BioMax). This purchase was to replace a sponge that began to fall apart after a few years of use. I was a little surprised they fit, thought I'd have to cut out the sponge. However, there was no more space; I know some people like to apply another thin coat to trap particles, but to me the water looks clear enough without it. Even without the extra BioMax I haven't had any issues and I don't do water changes that hard. I considered adding a second filter as a backup and extending the filtering, but didn't bother.
