After reading some of the negative reviews I was a bit reluctant to buy this product. However, I had a request from a friend to transfer the slides to DVD and I didn't want to spend too much money on something I don't have many requests for. I mainly do video broadcasting. But I thought why not? I initially use Windows XP for all computer transfers and then Windows 10 for rendering and finalizing. So I haven't tried using this for OSes other than Windows XP. Other than that, it worked like a charm. The only thing to keep in mind, as I've learned the hard way, is not to rush your slides. I did this and the device didn't pick up any of my 185 slides. I manually moved the slider too quickly before the device could save the image to the computer's hard drive. So I started all over again and spent at least another hour of my time filming the 185 slides needed for the job. Otherwise, this thing works great for a $32 device. Remember that there is no viewer on the device itself. If you need a viewer, spend $60-$150 for a premium device. But if, like me, you only get the occasional request to create slides, then use this machine. You will not be disappointed.
