So far this product has helped reduce the heat in my west facing garage. I don't know how much, but it's noticeably colder. I've read about reflective radiant heat panels for garage doors like this one and in order for them to actually work you need to leave an air gap between the surface of the garage door and the reflective panels. So today I reconfigured the panels to bulge (give them a little tummy) to create an air bubble. And of course it worked even better! So do not place the panels right next to the garage door as they merely conduct heat through the panel. The air gap helps the reflective panel reflect heat back to the garage door. I didn't even use tape.
