Works very well. Today is 115 and I can.

Works very well. Today is 115 and I can keep my garage steady at 75. I used 3 sets. 1 single room and 1 double room. Without this kit and a working AC I could only sustain a 20 degree temperature difference on those hot days and with the AC off the sun hitting the door would make my garage hotter than outside. Now with the A/C off, the Phoenix garage doesn't go above 90 in 115 days. 09/26/19 After 2 years of use I'm still very satisfied. When I turn on the air conditioner in the garage after…

Allow an air gap for panels to work best

So far this product has helped reduce the heat in my west facing garage. I don't know how much, but it's noticeably colder. I've read about reflective radiant heat panels for garage doors like this one and in order for them to actually work you need to leave an air gap between the surface of the garage door and the reflective panels. So today I reconfigured the panels to bulge (give them a little tummy) to create an air bubble. And of course it worked even better! So do not place the panels…

Really reduces the heat level in the garage!

I have to say I was a bit skeptical about the claims of reducing the terrible heat in my garage. I purchased this product because my neighbor across the street has large polarized windows that reflect the radiant heat of the afternoon sun directly onto my metal garage door, heating the interior to unbearable levels. Installation was nice and easy with no hassle of trimming pre-cut sizes to fit my interior trim. I bought two boxes to cover my garage door. Last Saturday the temperature in my…

So easy and a must!

I love that it's all pre-cut sheets. They're a little on the big side, but it worked in my favor. I folded the edges and glued them into the panels. The folds press against the panels creating an air gap for better insulation. I didn't use the supplied glue as I did some research and found that having an air gap is best. I attached the edges with transparent tape. I see a lot of negativity about glue. Who cares about glue? Learn how to properly install these panels. Yes, it's bubble wrap with a

Works perfectly! on Building Supplies

I have a workshop in my garage and it already has foam insulation on the door - the west facing door which gets direct sun all day and gets very warm at 6pm . With foam on it, mine and the outside temp are 98F, the inside of my door will still be 92-94F and the outside temp of the door will be a hot 157F! Which given the 60F difference (which is pretty good) is still hot! That 94F inside would still bake my garage shop at 90+. even at night when I couldn't get the heater out (another set of…
