I've seen stairs like this installed in other residential buildings. They looked like a great idea safety wise. I figured they were too expensive or would have to be installed by an RV dealer. In fact, a relative paid an additional $1,000 for the door for the dealer to install on his new Montana fifth wheel. I have found the LCI brand to be the easiest to determine the correct door width for our trailer and offer a simple and easy installation. Steps are easily adjusted in width by the door lock in the lever and the legs of the step extender. The older my wife and I get, the more we appreciate novelties like this!
