Just got the cutting boards today. I didn't realize how much my old plastic cutting board was torn (and possibly in food) until I saw how smooth the new ones were. Knife marks are one thing: you can clean and disinfect them with boiling water, even bleach them, but grinding them is no good. I'll see how they hold up and update my review if necessary. The instructions on the packaging state that knife marks are to be expected, that the cutting board's job is to protect the countertop. A big improvement over my old chopping board is the silicone edge that keeps the chopping board stable while cutting. turned on and it's VERY hard! It also includes a blade guard, which is nice. (I don't seem to know how dull my knives are?) I have 2 black marble cutting boards (one large, one medium) and 1 white and gray marble cutting board (small), so only 2 colors, not 3. I have in my review 1 star deducted because it's not what is pictured on the Revain page but to be honest I don't think the color matters particularly as I keep it in a cupboard but some people might keep it keep the counter. However, the difference in color makes it easier to grab the right size board on the first try when you're tired or distracted while trying to cook dinner, help kids with their homework, and hear a barking dog to stop. . But as I said, the site advertised an image of three different colored cutting boards, so it was misleading. And I see that other reviewers also noted that they only received 2 colors as well. My suggestion to the ChefGrids company is that they should update their page so that the image only shows the 2 colors they actually submit.
