If you want to hear the answer to the question: "is it worth buying?", then yes, definitely worth it. Perhaps this is the most balanced portable speaker system (price / size / sound quality). With sound, however, the situation is ambiguous. 20W? Like yes and no. The sound volume of the JBL speakers rises unevenly. Specifically, for this model, the lower part of the spectrum increases only up to 50%. Further, the volume of only high frequencies increases. 50% and 100% volume are two completely different sounds. It is impossible to listen above half, even if it lies in the corner. Bass will be significantly lacking. For the home, this volume is enough. For the street already on the verge, but enough. Depending on the situation. When it comes to quality, the sound is clean, pleasant, very detailed, but flat and inexpressive. The bass is amazingly deep (60Hz takes it easy), but there is very, very little of it. Almost none on the street. The barrel, of course, works out, but does not go into the depths. At full volume - very loud and disgusting. Cutting porridge, do not say anything. Summarizing all of the above, I’ll say that at home the JBL Flip 5 replaced my music center, because, although it sounds much quieter and much less bass, it plays music and podcasts much more pleasantly, and it is ideal for walking with friends and traveling, because it has slight unobtrusive sound. Definitely recommend) : the new problems described in the "shortcomings" section do not apply to the Partybox line and Sony speakers. They are all right, but Sony otherwise sounds weak. Now I can not recommend JBL Flip 5. So it goes)
