Review on ๐Ÿšฐ Luxurious HOMELODY Lead-Free Widespread Lavatory for Stylish Bathrooms by Tony Weber

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Disappointing in the end

I installed two of these in our double vanity in the master bathroom. The product comes in exquisite packaging with everything you need. Many materials are used; for example the spout and base, while the handles and base are in chromed zinc. Other rubber, stainless steel, plastic, ceramic and brass parts. Easy to install; especially like the quick connect pipe for mixed water. The most frustrating part is the pop up drain. Others have commented on this and I have reported it as an installation error. no Our sinks have an overflow feature so I think the drain hole is thicker/deeper than usual. I'm not sure if the pop drain assembly was designed with that in mind. Despite this, both pools leaked in two places. The first leak was fixed by applying silicone sealant to the plastic washer and then hand tightening the large plastic nut. If the pop-up drain ever needs to be removed, a knife or hacksaw will step in and you'll have to buy a whole new assembly. The second leak is below the first (solid) leak at the junction of the drain tube (to the drain line) with the rest of the pop-up assembly. This is a cheap plastic part with no washer. I need to find a washer and if that doesn't work we'll go back to silicone. If it weren't for those frustrations at the end of a relatively easy, albeit lengthy, installation process, I would probably give it 4 or 5 stars overall. This was a weekend project as, in addition to the plumbing, both undermount sinks also had to be removed, cleaned, re-caulked and reinstalled.

Pros
  • Widespread bathroom faucet comes with drain fitting (plastic) and hot and cold water hoses, 9/16 standard is US size and easy to install.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
