Don't over-tighten

People are right that the metal part on the front can get re-sharpened, but that's only because the metal is soft and bad if you overtighten the screw, it will bend the metal and push out the spikes. The solution is not to overtighten them or simply remove this decorative element. However, I like it. I was looking for nice inexpensive knobs to decorate a cheap oak bedroom set. These pens look great and are exactly as pictured.
