I recently rearranged my router (long story) and needed a new way to connect my desktop PC. It connected directly to the router via an ethernet cable and I bought it to be able to connect via wifi. I plugged it into a free USB port. Looking for your network. Entered the password and it immediately connected to my 5GHz network. It takes a maximum of 4 minutes to start and run. For the record, I'm using Win 10 and didn't even have to install the drivers that came with it (which came on a mini-disk). After that I ran a speed test over a 5 GHz network connection and I got a download speed of 115 Mbit/s and an upload speed of 35 Mbit/s - that's what I'm paying for, and the speed is identical to the speed, that I achieved with an Ethernet cable. There are cheaper Wi-Fi adapters at Revain and maybe they would work just as well. But I am very satisfied with the price and performance. The only problem will be that it won't last long - and I won't be able to comment on it for a while (installed yesterday).
