I have just ordered a second pack of these candles. They worked well for my DIY candle making project. They need to be warmed up a bit in the hands to become flexible, but after that they are very easy to use. You can also use a blow dryer on low speed if your hands get cold or place them on a heating pad lined with wax paper for 5-10 seconds. I like to wrap them in natural colored beeswax on the outside because they look cool when lit and it stretches out my colored wax for more projects. They burned evenly. There is no question of smell.
