Review on Cole Hersee 5582 10 BX Coated Toggle by Nicholas Harrington

I bought two of them because I thought the first one was defective. The problem seems to be the solder joints that lie under the seal. I say "it seems" because I didn't remove the impregnation to see what the problem could be. In my experience with both of these switches, any kink in the base of the switch where the wires meet the contacts will result in an open circuit (off) even if the toggle switch can be set to the "closed" (on) position . I found out about this problem too late when I bought it because they were already installed. I have redesigned the cables to protect the wires from bending or movement that occurs during normal use of my standalone buoy. Since then the switches have worked perfectly.
