Battery may need to be disconnected and reconnected
Installation requires you to move the device to align the mounting screws, no big deal. After installation, the device did not work at all, no noise from the actuator. Long story short, I had to disconnect and reconnect the truck's battery to reset the ECU, after which it worked fine. There were no instructions for the device so I had to research online to find out, but now it works great.
