Review on Colored Southsun Sketching Coloring Pre Sharpened by Heather Shaw

I've been using them for three days now to draw greeting cards and I've had far more problems with these colored pencils than any other brand of pens. Second hand. Due to mobility issues, I am happy to be able to replenish from home when my art supplies run out. However, this set turned out to be far from what I expected and will have me making an arduous trip to the local art store to get another set from a different seller. While the colors are beautiful and the quality of the crayon itself is pretty good, the shipping system is just terrible. At the moment seventeen (!) pencils have poles, which are so off-center that they are absolutely impossible to sharpen and color. They worked well until they needed sharpening. Another dozen pins have centers that break and fall out of the pins when you use them! I've had less serious problems with other brands after pencils fell hard from a high drafting table onto a tiled floor. I haven't dropped them once since I've had them, so I'm not happy that they're already breaking. Metallics break no matter how I sharpen them. The slightest pressure will cause the wax lead to break, requiring additional sharpening. After only three days of work, I was down to half a pencil of each. Catastrophe. However, this morning all but three of my purple pins broke! I went back to the wax crayons I still have on hand and finished my current project with them with no problems. I just don't have time to keep messing around with damaged pencils in the middle of a series of projects. Maybe I just got lucky with a bad batch, but I really haven't had this problem to this extent with other brands bought here at Revain.
