We have bought several of these products as gifts and for ourselves to take the temperature of wine in a bottle. Most products require you to open the bottle and insert a probe. We don't want to open the bottle. This gives us a good indication of whether the wine is at the right serving temperature. While they're not as pretty as the previous ones we've bought, they didn't last very long - even after changing the battery. This costs less. We have high hopes for this one. We've only had it a week. Fingers crossed for durability. I wish we had information on where to go if we have a problem with him. It is easier to put batteries in this model. Its size and pocket clip make it convenient to take to other places.
