Review on 📺 Enhance TV Viewing Experience with Access HD 1080D NTIA-Approved Digital to Analog TV Converter Box by Jared Coleman

I have ordered four (4) of these converters for multi-room installations. Order received on time and in NEW condition. One of the converters had a problem and after turning it on after about 5 minutes it overheated and locked up so you couldn't change channels or turn it off with the remote or the buttons on the front of the unit! Tried calling customer service by phone NOT to get warranty information but only voicemail was successful. Went to the Access HD website, found their email address and ONLY sent an explanation of the problem to get an automatic __NO reply back__ notification of the procedures required to file a warranty claim! As a technician and radio amateur, I decided to tackle the problem head-on by removing the converter box cover to inspect working or non-working parts. After jiggling the connections and disconnecting and reconnecting the PCB interface cables, the converter box seemed to work CORRECTLY. Put the lid back on the device, plugged in the 110V power supply and antenna cable, and "Voilà" the device worked SATISFACTORY even after a long period of operation! These four (4) units work well with the NEW outdoor digital antenna that I also ordered and when scanning channels the unit "detects" 54 channels in the Houston, Texas area (some Spanish, Chinese and Eastern). I would recommend this unit as a good investment for the PRICE but with the caveat that IF the Access HD requires service or warranty prepare yourself for a lot of trouble!
