I have ordered four (4) of these converters for multi-room installations. Order received on time and in NEW condition. One of the converters had a problem and after turning it on after about 5 minutes it overheated and locked up so you couldn't change channels or turn it off with the remote or the buttons on the front of the unit! Well I bought this product a year ago because I needed a cheap converter. I've read reviews that suggested its poor quality, but I wasn't looking for anything great, just something that would fit. Should have listened to the reviews and not bought this product. I started having problems the first few days. The tone sometimes changed when people's voices got low and deep. It sounded very scary. To fix this I had to power cycle the box. I wanted to return this product and get a refund right away.

I read reviews and almost bought this converter. My Zenith stopped working and I had to replace it. Since it was so cheap I changed my mind and bought two. This review applies to both boxes I bought. Turning on is a bit slow. The channel switching speed is decent. The image quality is good, but when you zoom in (4x3) you don't see the very edges of the image, unlike my other converters. The sound levels are low, but at the highest settings they are close to the level of my Magnavox transducer…
