Do not buy this product or buy from CircuitCity

Well I bought this product a year ago because I needed a cheap converter. I've read reviews that suggested its poor quality, but I wasn't looking for anything great, just something that would fit. Should have listened to the reviews and not bought this product. I started having problems the first few days. The tone sometimes changed when people's voices got low and deep. It sounded very scary. To fix this I had to power cycle the box. I wanted to return this product and get a refund right away. I bought it from CircuitCity so I checked their website for how to return this product. I found out how terrible Circuit City's return policy is. No refunds, exchanges only. I didn't want an exchange as this product is just poorly made and I didn't want to receive the same poorly made product. Their return policy allows them to keep such poor quality products and then there is nothing the customers can do once they find out how crappy the products are. Any decent retailer would stand by their products and allow customers to return them if not satisfied. But not CircuityCity, and it clearly shows what kind of business it is. Also, Access HD, the maker of this converter, knows it sucks, which is why they only offer a 3-month warranty on it. All other electronic products I have seen come with a 1 year warranty. This is only 3 months old. A few months ago, less than a year after I bought it, it suddenly died. If I had bought a decent converter box from someone else it probably wouldn't have failed so quickly and even if I had I could have found a replacement. Learn from my mistake. Do not purchase this product or purchase from CircuitCity.
