I gave 4 stars because similar kits cost about 2-3 times more in a big store. If money is not an issue for you, I would not recommend this system. However, if you're trying to save a few bucks, they're durable enough and easy enough to install to make them a good buy. If the manufacturer had made a few small changes, this product would have been even better. The main problem with this system is that it is designed to be installed directly onto drywall. If you're the only person in a hundred whose pre-drilled holes in the rail line up perfectly with the studs in the wall, you'll love this setup. If you're like the other 99 percent, like me, then the holes in the crossbar don't line up with the studs in the wall. This leaves you with two options. A) You drill additional holes in the batten to match the studs in the wall, or B) mount the 1x4 on your wall as a scoreboard and attach the batten to your scoreboard. I chose option B. It worked fine, but I don't mind how far the door sticks out of the frame, about an inch. If you attach the door directly to the wall as intended, the door will only pop out of the doorway about 1/4 inch, but when attached to the 1x4 it will push the door out an additional 3/4 inch (1x is 3/4 inch ). thick). ).I suggest that manufacturers take the spacers that run between the rail and the wall and basically cut them in half. Provide instructions that when mounting directly to a wall, slide both halves of the spacer together (which pushes the rail far enough to detach the door panel 1/4"). If mounting to an LED strip, you should only use one of the halved washers, the 3/4" screw will make up for the 1/2 spacer you didn't use. 1" gap. I used a drill and a 1/4" hole drilled into my 1x4 where the brackets attach to the wall. This made my rail 1/4" closer and I still have 1/2" booklet board to support. Then I bought some washers and metal ties to hang on the door I doubled up the 1/8" thick washers to bring my door even closer to 1/4" between these two steps I was able to close the 1" gap to about 1/2" of the gap. My other complaint. Me checked the rail installation to get the correct height old. Until I installed, removed and reinstalled. Top quality but at a price. Also, the instructions state that the strap should be attached 4 inches from the end of the door. Because of my door style, I fitted 3" instead of 4" with no problem. I think 4 inches is an arbitrary number and doesn't matter. Finally, the instructions look like you'll measure 1.5 inches and 3.5 inches from the top of your door and drill door holes for the door straps. Luckily I double checked before drilling as the top hole is 1.5" below the top of the door and the bottom hole is 3.5" below this hole. walk. Overall I'm happy with the result.
