This brush has good stiff bristles. I don't have a panini, but I use this brush on my cast iron pans for all but the most stubborn (burnt) cleans. I still rely on steel sponges and hot water for this. The short handle keeps all the pressure where it needs to be. I doubt these bristles will deform much from being tossed willy-nilly in a sink, but I put them away bristles up or down to ensure the stiffness is maintained over time (it did said that?). A stiff little brush that would be better for my needs if it included metal bristles like some grill brushes.
