So I read reviews where people experienced breakage of the plastic brace when attaching the skull to the receiver sleeve. Well, it's like tapping a hole with a tap, you don't force it. You start screwing, then back off a bit, repeating and repeating until you've tapped the thread. I also wrapped the post with a short length of steel tubing that is slightly larger than the post. This prevented the post from breaking. I also cut out a piece of clear polycarbonate to cover the back to keep dirt and water out. It's not brain surgery, but if you have the patience and know-how, you can make a good thing better too. I could replace the plastic pickup bushing with a steel bushing, but that's not a big deal. In general I like it very much.
