Review on πŸ”§ Honda ARP 2082801 Flywheel Bolt Kit: Enhanced Performance at Your Fingertips by Abdalla Galloway

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal screw replacement. with a note.

Worked great on a 2001 Honda Civic EX coupe with a JDM D17A engine! If you compare these bolts to the stock bolts, you'll notice that the stock bolts have a small lip that protrudes from under the bolt head. I think in bolt jargon it's called flange, for example it's a flange bolt. ARP doesn't have that, so you'd think the socket should stick better to the head. Well, on the face of the flywheel, between the pilot bearing and the crank bolt holes, there is a protruding ridge, so once you push the bolts and are ready to properly tighten them, you'll find your bushing moving along them edge so the bushing doesn't stay nice and flat on the bolt head. It's not a big problem, just mentioning it, so be careful when tightening them. I don't know how easy it would be to round off the heads of these bolts as they appear to be made of a tougher material than the stock bolts, but if you let the bushing slide off them while you tighten them to their 95lb-ft of torque then I see that this is possible. Or it can slip and you could break your knuckles or get hit by your fancy torque wrench. I hope this helped.
