So I usually expect my cold press paper to have a certain type of teeth. This paper. one side feels like a hot press and the other side (which appears to be the back as it is in the pad?) has TOO STRONG texture - like it's weird. That being said it's thick enough not to warp if you get really wet, it works well as hot press paper - I just did. Do not use hot press paper. The over-textured side is pretty fun for effects, but it's also over-textured for most of my work. So, all in all, if you like really smooth (or very rough) watercolor paper, this will be great for you - for me, it's probably not something I'd get again.
